Optometrists, who are college students pursuing their careers in eye care, are required to undergo rigorous training and education to ensure they provide high-quality eye care services. This training typically involves completing a bachelor's degree, followed by Doctor of Optometry (OD) program, which includes comprehensive coursework in subjects like anatomy, physiology, optics, and pharmacology. In addition to theoretical education, optometry students must also gain hands-on clinical experience, allowing them to develop practical skills in diagnosing and treating various eye conditions.
